Day 1 - Effingham to Pilot Knob State Park, Iowa

Here we are getting ready to leave on our big adventure to Montana.  Before boarding the bus we posed for a going away photo of the members of our crew made up of scouts from Troop 3 and Venture Crew 3333.

Left to Right: Urvish Amin, Barry Bouley - Assistant Scoutmaster, Trent Goeckner, Tommy Quance, Matt Clayton, Casey Holly, Wyatt Kayley, John Higgs, Eli Hibdon, Aaron Quicksall, Lucas Bouley, Larry Quicksall - Unit Commissioner, and Tim Hodge - Scoutmaster.

Of course, our tidy crew got more casual as we started our long, long, L-O-N-G drive to Montana.

Along the way we stopped for rest breaks and we found a nice rest area for our lunch.

Of course, just like the boys, the big ol' bus needed to be fed and cleaned.

We eventually made it to our campsite at Pilot Knob State Park in northern Iowa.  We stayed in the group campsite area, and we greatly "enjoyed" the mosquitoes.

And now for a video update of Day #1.....here's Larry!
